TNPSC Group 2 Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2013 in Tamil PDF: Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) conducts Combined Civil Services-II examination every year. Group 2 Exam Syllabus:
By this year Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission has revised the syllabus for all Combined Civil Service examinations. Aspirants who are struggling to understand and get the PDF file of the new syllabus may follow this section.The Group-2 services consist two categories of posts they are Interview category and Non-Interview category. The Interview category post consists of two exams namely, preliminary and mains. But, the Non-Interview category post consists of only one exam. The syllabuses for both category posts are listed below.

Syllabus for Interview category Posts:
Preliminary Exam:

1. General science
2. Current Events
3. Geography
4. History and culture of India
5. Indian Polity
6. Indian Economy
7. Indian National Movement
8. Aptitude and Mental Ability Test
9. General English or General Tamil

Main Examination General Studies (Degree Standard):
Part-A:

• Role and impact of science and Technology in the Development of India and Tamil
• Nadu
• Administration of Union and States with special reference to Tamil Nadu
• Socio-Economic Issues in India/ Tamil Nadu

Part-B:

• Essay (Current Issues at National Level)
• Essay (Current Issues at State Level)

Syllabus for Non-Interview category Posts:
The syllabus for Non-Interview category Posts are same as that of the Interview category. But, the main exam will not be conducted for the Non-Interview category vacancies.
